Samsung launches first line of UFS memory cards in the world

Today Samsung announced through its official website the release of the first line of UFS memory cards (Universal Flash Storage) in the world. This new standard can five times higher reading speed than that of the current best micro SD and twice more recording capacity than the SanDisk Extreme Pro.

This means that Samsung's UFS cards will be capable of sequential read 530 MB / s, enough to carry a movie in Full HD 5 GB in just 10 seconds in the device memory that are connected. A high-performance micro SD would make this task in at least 50 seconds.

The maximum sequential write speed is 170MB / s in this version UFS 1.0 technology, which until then was only being used in flash memory built in a few high-end smartphones. Remember that these cards are not compatible with the current standard of micro SD and can not be used on devices that have this stlot.

Still incompatible

In fact, currently, there is no device that supports the UFS cards. Considering this, we believe that the next top of the line Samsung - Galaxy Note 7, Galaxy S8 and others - should have hit the market with the possibility of expansion by UFS cards as well as new professional cameras from major manufacturers.

360 cameras, action cameras and drones are also the focus of Samsung with these new cards, which offer far superior performance to what we have today. Perhaps they Nexus apparatus will finally to support memory cards, since the speed of the UFS 1.0 is practically a traditional SSD used in computers. Google's excuse so far not include expandable storage on their devices was that the micro SD were very slow and would make a poor user experience.

:(   Unfortunately, Samsung did not yield the start paras dates or estimated sales prices anywhere in the world. Only it was revealed that there will be a variety of storage options, including 32, 64, 128 and 256 GB.
